Linkshare

Linkshare is a Network of online shops and business, You can apply to hundreds of different specialty online merchents. Restrictions vary per the merchants you use and each must be applied to seperately. Several websites can be managed through the same Linkshare account.

There are no restrictions for placement or use, and a variety of sizes of ads are availible for each merchent, along with text adn email ads.

Most Linkshare accounts are pay by Sale or lead and rates vary. The most noticable drawback is that some merchant totals are tallied and paid seperately.

Quintstreet

Quintstreet is a merchant ad broker. They have far less variety than most. This is because the specialize in quality merchants and programs. The interface is simple and uncluttered.

ClickXchange

clickXchange's network of ads and publishers is geared to smaller websites and money. They have CPM, click, sales, and leads availible. There are a few gems in the system and you can buy and sell ads through the same account. You can manage 5 distinct websites throught he same account also and 6 types of commsion structures are supported. Accounts have ad rotators.

Earned money can be withdrawn with a $2 service fee for amounts under $50 at any time.

Ads require individual merchant approval. Payout is monthly at $25.

RegNow

RegNow Deal primarily in software, ebooks and other purely electronic products. All commissions are % of sale. Payout is $100/month or $25/quarter.

Clickbank

Clickbank is purely a by sale commission broker. If you are selling items they can process Credit cards for you and handle most of the accounting needs including the payment of you affilaites. For publishers getting ads is simple and has very few restrictions and the do not require merchant approval. Most ads are only text links.

Since this is also a merchant account and an affiliate account there is a level of detail in the accounting options that can not be described here. It is a good system for merchents just starting out o the internet to 'test the waters' without a large finiancial commitment and a handy way for publishers to pick up some quick ads.
